Canadian Sales Manager:

Reports to Sr.

V.P., Sales & Marketing Preferred candidate will be located in metropolitan Toronto, Ontario + Travel up to 50% throughout territory Salary range:

C$90,000 – C$106,00 DOE + C$700 p/month vehicle allowance + Annual bonus program is discretionary + Bens.

POSITION SUMMARY :

The primary responsibility of the Canadian Sales Manager is selling products and/or services to established customers or by developing new prospects within assigned territory of Canada.

The role:

· We are looking for a self-starter and a real go-getter who makes a plan and works their plan.

Works closely with the Sr.

Sales & Marketing VP and who is proactive and can hit the ground running.

· The split of sales responsibility would be approximately 60% current account maintenance and 40% new business sales.

· Additional responsibilities include training, shadowing and directing c10/11 Canadian agency reps to help sell MGM product across the whole country, the successful candidate will produce business reports, and build and maintain Canadian customer base while promoting product lines and marketing programs.

In addition, this position is responsible for assisting the MGM technical sales staff in the Canadian market for the OEM truck, bus and trailer builders and independent aftermarket distributor customers.

Specific Job Duties:

· Management and oversight responsibilities for the Canadian market and direct responsibility to manage Canadian Rep.

Agency (SS&M) · Identify major customers, new opportunities, and grow strong business relationships for the purpose of driving MGM product and service sales for the Canadian markets; present and sell company products and services to current and potential accounts.

· Develop account plans for key accounts within assigned territory; identify new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.

· Provide leadership and guidance, support individual efforts and assist where needed.

· Ensure direct reports adhere to and support all company policies and procedures.

· Offer training to all current and potential accounts.

Hosts or conducts maintenance clinics for mechanics and sales seminars for new truck and aftermarket part sales.

· Prepare and obtain contract paperwork to activate new distributors.

· Identify and resolve customer concerns.

· Prepare monthly status reports covering customer issues and activities.

· Handle all warranties and delinquent payments.

· Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, competitor information, or feedback gathered through field activity to Company staff.

· Determine attendance of small trade shows in assigned territory.

Participate in customer open houses, industry trade shows and professional association meetings.

· Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge.

· All other duties as required.

Knowledge/Skills:

· Bachelor’s degree in business and/or Marketing is preferred though not essential.

· 10+ years of sales experience in the heavy-duty truck and commercial vehicle industry · Proficiency with MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.) · Strong organizational skills and attention to detail · Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage workload.

· Effective oral and written communication skills · Effective problem solving and decision-making skills.

· Ability to work with tact and professionalism towards customers and suppliers.

· Ability to work with minimum supervision.

Benefits:

· Paid Time Off (PTO) for this position starts at 160 hours (4 weeks) per year but prorated first year of employment.

Proration amount is depending upon employee's start date and will be offered after a 90-day probationary period.

The prorated amount can be used at that time until the end of the calendar year.

The full 160 hours will be provided on January 1st of each year thereafter.

· There will be a monthly vehicle allowance of C$700/ month for this position.

· Preferred salary range is commensurate with candidate's industry knowledge and experience.

· Bonus program is discretionary and dependent upon meeting company fiscal profitability goals.
