Manage, plan, and execute procurement categories to drive short and long-term results through creation of fact base analysis’s that feed category strategies, leveraging in-depth industry knowledge, collaboration and influencing at all levels of the organization.Model the use of Coupa to monitor category spending and to deliver strategic events with the Coupa Sourcing Tool.Lead efforts to deliver efficiencies through Coupa for MRO purchase orders, invoice payment, supplier enablement and other procurement processes.Meet annual team cost savings and avoidance goals.Track all potential and identified cost savings and avoidance using company provided methods, policies, and procedures.Engage site leaders and controllers to identify over budget spend and lead actions to align and address opportunities.Develop supplier scorecards and metrics and review them regularly with suppliers and management.Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and other stakeholders.Negotiate contract terms and conditions in accordance with Compass policies and best practices.Adhere to all procurement policies and delegation of authority requirements for contract approvals.Consistent review and auditing of internal processes for standardization, adherence, and governance.

Perform sourcing and RFX exercises to obtain the lowest total cost of ownership while minimizing any Supply Chain risks to the business.Identify and deliver cost reduction ideas with supplier partners to obtain industry-leading solutions and best-in-class results.Lead supplier selection in collaboration with a cross-functional team; conduct supplier negotiations to establish comprehensive supplier agreements.Define and execute detailed project plans to establish new supplier relationships and grow existing supplier relationships.Work with cross-functional teams to develop business cases to support process and technology changes and sell changes to key stakeholders and senior leadership.Influence and partner with internal stakeholders to identify spend under management opportunities for potential cost savings and/or vendor upgrades.Understand value drivers and negotiate prices and business terms with suppliers.Promote and share best practices while providing empowerment and discipline to local organizations.Optimize alignment with site maintenance and operations personnel surrounding ROP’s, ROQ’s, and Lead times to mitigate supply risk while right-sizing safety stock through annual inventory reviews with site personnel.Become the subject matter expert in all things MRO for Compass Minerals, Inc.Perform other related duties as required.QualificationsMinimum Required Qualifications:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or Engineering preferred with a minimum of five to ten (5-10) years’ experience, preferably in the Mining industry.MBA preferred.

Strong negotiation and presentation skills.High level of adaptability to manage the changing needs of the business as they arise.Leverage strong influencing skills to communicate on procurement value and align objectives and targets within Procurement Structure and stakeholders, including senior leaders.Knowledge of both US and Canada laws and regulations preferred Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; both verbal and written.Understanding and ability to perform business, cost/benefit and financial analysis.Ability to successfully manage concurrent projects and meet deadlines in an ambiguous environment.Ability to work cross-functionally with all levels of internal and external staff and ability to develop strong business relationships.Proficiency with tools/systems to analyze data including Microsoft Office package.

Working knowledge of ERP systems required.

Prefer working knowledge of Coupa sourcing tool.Experience working with MRO-related suppliers.
