Human Resources GeneralistReporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Generalist is responsible for:

Assisting and supporting the HR Manager in all facets of human resources, including benefits administration, recruiting, policy implementation, reporting of information, employee relations and training.Develop, update and provide recommendations for policies and proceduresAdvise employee and management personnel on the interpretation of personnel policies, programs and proceduresEnsures that programs are carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.Analyze and provide advice to employees, supervisors, and managers on methods and approaches to resolve employee relation issues (i.e.

employee complaints, harassment allegations, etc.)Recommend, develop and maintain an accurate human resources information system including employee personnel files and relevant electronic data filesResponsible for monitoring completion of daily time sheets and assisting in completion of weekly payroll and associated tasksCoordinate and maintain training needs and records and provide training, where required.

Coordinate and maintain an effective performance management system including job descriptions, performance discussions, and performance evaluations.

Ensure employees, supervisors and managers are working within the established Performance Management Program to document goals, objectives and progress.Coach managers and supervisors in managing employee performance; provide support in guiding team through appropriate documentation of events, how to counsel employees and deliver corrective actions effectively.Manage employee absenteeism and attendance program, issue corrective disciplinary action as required; report on statisticsConduct recruitment and selection effort for all internal and external available positionsBuild and sustain beneficial relationships with employment agencies and educational institutions to aid in the recruitment effort; support management and scheduling of all agency employees as required, working with individual departments, supervisors and management team.Conduct new employee orientation and ensure paperwork is processed and benefits are managed properlySupport all aspects of Health and Safety, working in conjunction with the Health and Safety Coordinator.Conduct exit interviews, analyze data, and make recommendations to management for corrective action and continuous improvementContribute as project leader or team member on various department and business initiativesMaintain all HR plant related forms and documents to IATF/QS standardsDevelop and implement continuous improvements to human resources systems, policies and procedures,Contribute to efforts in maintaining a union free workplace by participating in team member committee meetings as necessaryAll other duties as assigned by the Human Resources Manager, Operations/General Manager, HR Lead or the VP of HR QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree with an emphasis in human resources or PHR/SHRM-CPExperience in performing HR duties in a Manufacturing environment Minimum of 5-8 years' experience in a human resource role, with a broad understanding of all HR facets, preference give to those with a minimum 1-year payroll related experienceFamiliarity with and ability to research, interpret and apply employment legislation which includes the Workers' Compensation Act, Employment Standards Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations, and any other related legislation, where applicableDemonstrated work knowledge of multiple human resource areas preferredDemonstrates a high level of integrity, trust and composure and viewed as approachable by all levels of the organization Strong data analysis and basic research skillsStrong decision making and problem-solving skills Strong conflict resolution skills Strong planning skills with proven ability to implement Plasman is committed to offering a wide range of prospects to our employees, including competitive salaries, full-time permanent positions, benefits, company savings plans, recognition awards, hands-on training, upward mobility, tuition reimbursement, and more.Plasman values and supports the unique talents and strengths that each employee brings to our organization.
