We are committed to cultivating and preserving an environment where all employees can thrive, and, for over a decade, we have been recognized as one of Canada's Top 100 Employers and one of Canada's Best Diversity Employers. In recruiting for our team, we welcome the unique contributions that you can bring in terms of your education, opinions, culture, ethnicity, race, sex, gender identity and expression, nation of origin, age, languages spoken, veteran’s status, color, religion, disability, sexual orientation, beliefs, experiences, and more.Please note that we have two current openings!POSITION OVERVIEWThe Account Manager, Virtual Business Centre is responsible for maintaining client relationships in the small and steady business segment by phone or electronically, with a view to fostering business development and repeat business.CHALLENGES TO BE MET Develop and maintain a customer relationship retention/growth strategy to build a long-term profitable loan portfolio with existing clients while providing a high level of customer service.Identify and develop new business opportunities for financing and consulting with focus on developing existing portfolios.Manage a portfolio mix of borrowing companies, ensuring effective relationship management.Develop and execute an individual marketing plan to ensure alignment with VBC strategy and portfolio objectives while meeting financial objectives related to the forecasted loss rate, profitability, revenue growth and retention of clients.Use sound credit judgment to ensure high-quality loan proposals that represent acceptable risk levels and are in line with established standards and within the parameters of accepted credit practices and BDC policies and procedures.Analyze, negotiate and prepare high-quality loan proposals by applying thorough credit analysis, due diligence and sound account management practices.Keep abreast of changes to policies, procedures and processes.  WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORBachelor degree in commerce or business administrationAn experienced banker with 3-5 years of experience with proven sales skills that has a passion for entrepreneurshipDemonstrated strength in business development and customer relationship management skillsSound credit judgement coupled with a strong understanding of credit policies and practicesAbility to identify business opportunities for entrepreneurs who will benefit from the unique range of BDC services (financing and consulting)Thorough knowledge of Bank products, services, policies and proceduresExcellent negotiation skills with a focus on resultsTeam player with a thorough understanding of the dynamics of the small business environmentExcellent interpersonal and communications skillsBilingualism (English and French) is required.With us, you'll be able to achieve the work/life balance you're looking for, with competitive working conditions and above-market flexible benefits.?This includes modern workspaces to work from when you are in our offices, and, for some specific positions, the ability to work remotely, on reserve, and/or within your community.While we appreciate all applications, we advise that only the candidates selected to participate in the recruitment process will be contacted.
