Our People Analytics Team We are currently seeking interested candidates to join our multi-disciplinary People Analytics team to help us evolve this important function for the Bank of Canada! Reporting to the Assistant Director, People Analytics, you will work alongside our analytics specialists in HR to ensure our teams have easy access to accurate data that they need to make effective business decisions.

You will have the full support of your leader to enhance your skills, experiment, and drive change in the way we perform People Analytics! What you will do You will build and evolve data products in Power BI, as well as analyze HR data to support business needs.

You will also help to build and reinforce sound governance practices within the HR teams, including leading data quality improvements.

More specifically, you will:

Build and evolve HR data tools to continue meeting real business needs Work closely with HR clients to understand their business needs and provide solutions including preparing ad-hoc reports, building automated Power BI dashboards or recommending other self-serve options Monitor key internal metrics so you can proactively analyse and explain changes in typical ranges and prepare recommendations for senior leaders Promote a vibrant analytics culture within HR Approach your work with a learner’s mindset and relentlessly strive for accurate and accessible data, making recommendations for change where needed Promote data literacy in HR by educating on our data environment, analytics concepts, and key data governance principles Adhere to and contribute to the team’s documented standards for analysis, visualization and data management Find efficiencies to reduce manual work and promote self-serve Seek opportunities for automation, prepare recommendations, and implement change where it makes good sense Equip HR teams to have access to the data and tools they need to make effective business decisions about their teams and services Follow good change management principles by thoughtfully identifying impacted groups and supporting them through change What you need to succeedYou have a proven skill set using MS Excel to work with data (creating pivot tables, graphs, etc.), and experience building and editing Power BI dashboards.

You also have a solid understanding of good data management and governance principles when working with personal information.

In addition, you are a self-starter with strong attention to detail who is always on the lookout for ways to make improvements in your work.

You are hungry to grow your own skills and knowledge so that you can increase the value you bring to your clients.

You are also well-organized, a great team player, and a strong communicator who can influence change and support others on their change journey.

Assets Understanding of SAP SuccessFactors (or a similar system/tool) Experience/education in change management Your education and experienceYour combined education and work experience demonstrate that you have the competencies for the position and are effective at learning and applying new skills.

We are ideally seeking candidates with relevant post-secondary education and 4+ years of work experience in a related field.

What you need to know Language requirement:

 English and French essential (bilingual) with a minimum starting level of functional (level 4) in second official language.

Training may be provided to help reach the required level of fully functional (level 5) in second official language.

Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $85,170 to $100,200 (job grade 16) Depending on performance, you may be eligible for performance pay.

The first tier of performance pay is for successfully meeting expectation, at 5 to 7% of your base salary.

The Bank offers performance pay for those who exceed expectations (10% of your base salary)..



Exceptional performers who far exceed expectations may be eligible for higher performance pay.
