JOB DESCRIPTION The main function of the automated inspection professional is to maintain the inspection equipment in production and to support the IT infrastructure.
With his experience in production and demonstrating solid knowledge of the MEMS process steps, the professional develops defect review methods, follows the control charts, and acts proactively to eliminate the sources of defects in the production line manufacturing in collaboration with other departments.
With his experience in IT, he helps in the development of IT infrastructure and supports improvements in inspection automation.
He is also part of the development team for new inspection equipment and improvements to their performance.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
The automated inspection professional will use his electrical, optical and computer knowledge as well as his experience in production to:
Take action to maintain automated inspection equipment in production, release support batches, maintain documentation associated with this equipment; Properly document the inspection specifications and communicate them to the client; Develop inspection recipes with the fewest possible false defects, communicate inspection results, monitor and develop control charts and data processing infrastructure; Develop automated inspection methods for MEMS; Maintain and develop the inspection IT infrastructure; Analyze on a continuous basis the data extracted from the production line, detect any anomaly of defects and initiate the corrective and preventive actions required; Monitor, document and communicate inspection results, initiate actions for certain products that do not meet the objectives set in order to achieve these objectives; Participate in meetings with customers to communicate certain inspection results as well as our objectives and associated actions to improve yields; Evaluate manufacturing defect densities and recommend improvements to certain manufacturing steps or equipment; Qualify and set up new inspection equipment.
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:
University degree in engineering or science; Electrical Engineer, Physics, member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec is an asset; Knowledge of electrical testing of integrated circuits as well as MEMS; Knowledge of computer control required; Knowledge of inertial sensor and MEMS resonator processes and products is an asset; Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing techniques required; Having a minimum of 3 years experience in the industry is an asset; Rigor, tact and diplomacy to collaborate with a variety of departments; Dynamic and good communicator; Have a functional level in English (spoken/written).
