The Senior Systems Engineer’s primary role is to operationally support and maintain all aspects of Bayshore’s VDI environment.

Secondary responsibility is ensuring that all data center assets have event monitoring in place and alert thresholds are established.

This role requires a strong understanding and working experience with Citrix, Azure, Event monitoring, VMWare, Active Directory, and Windows Servers. This includes deployment, operational hands-on management with ongoing maintenance and support of the various infrastructure technologies deployed in Bayshore.

In addition, this position will be responsible for providing 2nd level and/or 3rd level support including technical guidance to IT teams and users as required.

This position will join a team responsible for compute, storage, and cloud infrastructure, telephony systems and call center platforms including data center network and branch office connectivity.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES??????????????????????????????????Product Design, Implement, Manage, Support, and maintain the following Technologies:

• Must have Senior Engineer strong hands-on experience and product understanding of the below services and be able to support related products as needed:

 • Expert knowledge in VDI infrastructure technologies such as Citrix Virtual Apps, Azure AVD and/or Amazon App Stream.

This includes PVS and MCS, Policy Management, ICA Protocols, Secure Ticket Authority, Session Reliability, License Server, RDS, Terminal Services, UPM, FsLogix etc.• Knowledge of Citrix NetScaler ADC.• Solid working experience in upgrading VDI and related components including patching Servers and VDA’s.• Provide technical services related to assessment, design, implementation, migration, upgrades, and technical documentation.• Strong knowledge of the underlying Infrastructure components such as Dell VXRAIL and VMWare ESXi.

This includes Redundancy Factor settings, Cluster technology, Host and Storage management, Virtual Machine settings, policies and management, capacity management, and virtual networks.• Solid knowledge of Windows Server technologies such as Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, etc.• Identifies and resolves problems, often anticipating issues before they occur or before they grow; develops and evaluates options and implements solutions in accordance with incident and problem management services, policies, procedures and SLA’s.• Identifies opportunities for streamlining and increasing effectiveness through continuous process improvement and automation.• Perform analysis of remote monitoring reports to identify capacity and performance issues and remediate them.

Knowledge in monitoring & management, up/down device monitoring, asset management for in-scope monitored devices etc.• The successful candidate must have a customer/user first approach when working with and collaborating with project teams and end-users.

Provide second level and/or third level support to all other IT areas such as, Technical Support team, Development group etc. • Hold cross training sessions for these groups to help support access processes and how they apply• Participation in security activities including remediation.• High technical, analytical, logical and trouble shooting skills in using structured tools and techniques.• Candidates with working experience in the below will be considered firsto Powershell, Power CLI to automate taskso Netscalers/ADC o Microsoft SQL technologies specific to Citrix Producto Print ServicesREPORTING RELATIONSHIPSThe Senior Systems Engineer reports directly to the Sr.

Manager Cloud and Build ServicesJob QualificationEducation• Degree in Computer Science/IT or equivalent• Industry certifications in one or more of the following:

• VDI – Azure VDA, Amazon App Stream, Virtual APPs
- Citrix CCP-V, CCE-V and/or CCP-N, CCAA• Microsoft – MCSE, MCSA Server Infrastructure certification• Administering Windows Server Hybrid Core Infrastructure• VMWare
- Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV)Experience• 6-10 years in a senior technical role supporting Citrix Virtual Apps, Netscaler, Active Directory and related eco-systems that deliver secure access for users to applications, servers and desktops• 3-5 years with VMWare• 3-5 years with Windows Servers • 3-5 years provisioning and supporting Citrix servicesOther Skills and Abilities• Effective communicator with a customer focused approach • Ability to work cohesively in a team environment and work independently • Excellent time management, analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; oral and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills• Ability to multi-task and manage priorities under pressure with careful attention to detail• Knowledge of Healthcare industry – an asset
