As part of Worley's Mining, Minerals, and Metals (MMM) Technology team you will be operating as a Senior Project Engineer on front-end studies.

Through yourmultidisciplinary experience with a well-rounded technical background in engineering and technical fields, you will assist project managers and study managers to successfully manage and execute projects.

You are the ideal candidate if have experience in project planning and delivery of engineering design projects of varying sizes, you are self-motivated and detail-oriented with previous experience in the mining sector involving mine scheduling and planning, process plants, facilities, and construction.

Responsibilities:

Reviews and develops project objectives with respect to regulatory requirements.

Develops project requirements with the development of design concepts and ideas.

Manage client's expectations with a clear understanding of the client's technical, financial, and performance objectives.

Establish, maintain and build healthy client and coworkers' relationships.

Proactively resolve performance, scope and schedule issues with the Client as they arise.

Identify, document, communicate and meet the client's requirements.

Ensure compliance with requirements of the contract.

Apply effective change control process.

Contribute to the development of overall project schedule.

Supervise work in accordance with the approved schedule.

Monitor cost aspects of the project within direct control and forecast final costs, identify trends and take action to avoid cost overruns.

Effectively manage assigned budgets within Worley's total scope.

Develops engineering scopes of work documents with specific design criteria to direct discipline engineers and designers to carry out project tasks.

Plans and coordinates project tasks, resources, and activities.

Substantiates designs and concepts through delivery and record of calculations.

Delegates and controls tasks and scope to engineers, designers, and sub-consultants.

Prepares project documents
- project plans, scope documents, RFI's, extra-scope forms, CWPs, and meeting minutes to project stakeholders.

Contribute to compliance with Worley policies and procedures.

Utilize, as appropriate, strong working knowledge of Worley engineering and procurement systems and procedures.

Focus the relevant team members on achievement of milestones and other key project objectives.

Listens to the team, discusses the issues, resolves problems and directs activities to remove roadblocks and achieve objectives.

Regularly provide clear reports to project management.

Effective communication with the design team and third parties.

Accurate, timely and effective reporting to the Project Manager.

Monitor the closure of all identified risks and opportunities.

Controls quality and checks of deliverables and submittals.

Site visits to facilities and project sites required.

Continuously steering the project plan based on ongoing requirements and findings, while making corrections as needed.

Ensure the design team aware of, and complies with, client's Basis of Design and apply regulations and codes.

Manages inter-discipline interfaces effectively.

Assess procurement processes throughout the project to ensure goods meet specification, are delivered on time and are within budget.

Actively support the Worley Safety program and ensure there is a HSE focus within the team to ensure MHSA requirements including those documents required in design and procurement activities.

Demonstrate behavior and business practices commensurate with a culture of world's best health, safety and environmental performance.

Scheduling and project control management.

What you will bring Technical and Industry Experience:

MMM and resource sector experience preferred experience in a broad spectrum of front-end activities including technology selection, scoping studies, PFS, FS, due diligence reviews, independent engineering scopes, and specific experience in JORC and NI 43-101 reporting requirements.

Site/ Construction experience is an asset.

Must have a minimum 10+ years of experience in consulting engineering or similar role (Required) Project Engineering experience:

5+ year (Required).

Experience in Front End Studies, Concept/Select, Consulting, PFS, FS, and NI 43-101 reporting.
