Duties and Responsibilities Enforces SG Safety Standards, and local policies/procedures to provide a safe working environment.
Must recognize unsafe conditions and behaviors and make corrections to prevent injuries.Drive safety and accountability of team while achieving OEE metrics daily.Provide leadership, supervisory and conflict resolution skills to improve team productivity.Ensure good communication with the various departments resulting in optimization of productivity, quality, and safety.Actively participate in employee selection and training in partnership with Human Resources.Lead attendance management and employee investigations.Direct production personnel on production schedule (i.e.:
set-up and shutdown of extrusion lines, product schedules, etc).Monitor procedures to ensure that they are carried out in a safe and effective manner.Ensure all production reports and schedules, relevant information and system requirements are completed daily and accurately.Review and plan manpower requirements in conjunction with Human Resources and Plant Manager.Perform other duties as assigned.Discipline and provide training of extrusion / production personnel.Sign-off on vacation request with the Plant Manager’s approval.May request purchase of material or service by submitting RFQ to Plant Manager or Assembly Supervisor.
Approve absence requests, and authorize overtime hours.Ability to lock out or tag out equipment.Approve production in the absence of Quality Control.
Este trabalho é para você? Three (3)years minimum years management/supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably window extrusion) or the ability to manage personnel in a manufacturing environment.
Experience in plastics extrusion is an asset.
Proven ability in planning, organizing, motivating, controlling, problem-solving, negotiating and leadership in a manufacturing environment.Communication and people skills for managing the team of production staff.Persuasive, persistent, mature and responsible.Safety-conscious, proactive and able to work well under pressure.
