    What is the opportunity?   Become the go-to for RBCx Ventures leaders and our functional partners across Finance, Tax, and Risk, developing into a subject matter expert on accounting operations and processes that enable our ventures to move fast and scale with the right financial guardrails in place.

The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to grow into a trusted advisor to leadership, and our full complement of engineering, product, design, and marketing RBCx teams as well as our functional partners (ex.

Financial Control, Law teams, Op Risk, etc.) who support us in ensuring integrity in financial reporting and critical financial operational risk areas.

  The Manager, Accounting Operations will join the COO Finance Operations team and support a Venture directly to ‘cut their teeth’ and under critical processes, and then shift to provide overall portfolio-level governance over financial accounting and reporting for Ventures.

The role will also support and own:

the placement and improvement of fit-for-purpose financial risk controls.

responsibility for maintaining high integrity and accuracy of key financial reports, production and continuous improvement of processes documentation, lead support for some of our Ventures’ core financial needs, such as critical reporting structures, approval flows, General Ledger (G/L) entries, and collaborate across RBCx and the broader RBC organization to ensure financial reporting integrity, and operationalize and build on how COO Finance Operations delivers value.

  What do you need to succeed? Must-Have:

3 to 5 years of direct accounting or related industry experience Candidates pursuing (or completed) CPA or CFA designation preferred Supports income statement (or P&L) integrity and performs and evolves accounting functions and processes such as reconciliations, A/R management, accrual submissions and governance, A/P management Interprets financial information related to accounting policies, control, and governance, and provides actionable information to management to ensure integrity and increase transparency Ensures accurate and detailed information is provided and ensures compliance with financial reporting standards and regulatory disclosure requirements Supports project work to ensure the impact of new and amended financial standards is communicated to business unit(s) Conducts research into areas of perceived elevated or emerging risk, investigates risk events to assess for potential systemic weaknesses, and provides advice and guidance on risk policies and procedures Assists with policy development and provides external research around accounting standards   What’s in it for you?
