Reporting to the Manager, FinancialReporting, you will support various project activities and provide appropriate level backfill support to the Finance functional teams when their members are participating in the project.
This is a great role for someone who is interested in participating in the implementation of a modernized Tier 1 ERP system from start to finish, combined with varied accounting support for the rest of the Finance team! Key responsibilities include:
Contribute and articulate current business processes, pain points and future needs during workshops Conduct tests in various testing cycles of the assigned modules (e.g., GL, Fixed Assets, Project Costing) Perform data validation and data cleansing Become a subject matter expert to provide end-user training Provide backfill support for various Finance roles when functional team members are participating in the project; roles could include GL Accountant, Project Accounting Analysts, Finance Business Partners (Expense and Revenue Analysts) and Credit & Collections Representative Key qualifications include:
At least 3 years’ of progressive experience with fixed assets, project costing and general accounting with experience supporting enterprise-class applications in medium - to large-sized organizations; supplemented by a degree in Business Administration (Accounting concentration) with active enrolment in Canadian CPA program and near completion of designation Demonstrated experience working with complex Financial ERP systems and reporting tools (e.g., Oracle EBS, Oracle Fusion Cloud, Excel4Apps) Strong knowledge of fixed assets, project costing, inventory, general accounting, business processes and systems, as well as their impact on both financial and non-financial based departments Proven analytical and problem-solving skills Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization Collaborative work style with ability to think outside the box This position is open to both VancouverAirportAuthority employees and external candidates.
