About this Opportunity:
ArgoSales currently has a career opportunity available for an Estimator / ApplicationsEngineer to work out of our Medicine Hat or Calgary Alberta office.
Reporting to the Branch Manager, this individual will have extensive experience in the estimation, design and manufacture of surface production equipment, including but not limited to:
separators, H2S scavengers, line heaters, process piping packages, electrical packages and metering packages.
Job description:
· Apply technical experience to interpret documentation, specifications, and design drawings.
· Work effectively with Sales to prepare bid packages based on client specifications.
· Prepare accurate estimates of project costs.
· Help develop and maintain estimating tools · Perform preliminary process sizing, vessel design, and instrument & valve selection · Effectively liaison with suppliers and customers.
· Perform quality checks on estimates (versus actuals) to ensure accuracy.
Requirements:
· Experience with ASME Code VIII Div.
I and B31.3 codes.
· Familiar with vessel and piping design · Strong understanding of the oil and gas manufacturing industry.
· 5+ years experience as an estimator · Proficient with computer software including Excel, Word, and experience with ERP programs is an asset · Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills · Experience prioritizing, multi-tasking, and meeting deadlines · Experience using ERP systems, preferably Encompix Manufacturing We thank all candidates for their interest, however, only individuals selected for an interview will be contacted.
