• Implement configuration-driven ingestion templates and write unit test cases.

• Use GCP's infrastructure-as-code tools, particularly Terraform, to provision and configure cloud resources.

• Configure Google Cloud Storage (GCS) as an alternative to Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS).

• Collaborate with Hadoop specialists for a seamless migration to GCP services.

• Configure connectors for GCP services like BigQuery and Dataflow.

• Set up IAM roles and permissions for secure access to GCP resources.

• Configure networking components for secure communication between resources.

• Develop automation scripts using tools like Deployment Manager or Cloud SDK.

• Streamline deployment and configuration processes for efficiency.

• Collaborate with the data engineering team to integrate data pipeline code into CI/CD processes.

• Provide training on GCP configurations and best practices.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Qualifications:

• Education:

Bachelor of Science or relevant degree and/or a combination of experience.

• Bilingualism:

English and French is an asset.

• Expertise in creating and managing GitLab projects for seamless collaboration.

• Building intuitive UI components for enhanced user interaction.

• Proficient in Terraform for provisioning and configuring GCP resources.

• Experience with GCP services:

BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, CloudRun.

• Knowledge of networking components (VPC, subnets, firewall rules) for secure communication.

• Familiarity with Hadoop ecosystem components:

Hive, HDFS, Spark, Sqoop, Trino.

• Strong knowledge of IAM for setting up roles and permissions.

• Collaboration with security teams using their tools and practices.

• Integration with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI.

• Proficient in scripting and automation using Python and Bash.

• Familiarity with deployment strategies:

Blue-Green Deployment, Canary Deployment.

React, Angular, or Vue.js • Terraform • GCP:
