Targeting an aggressive growth trajectory, we are seeking to add talent to our current team of passionate Optisolvers.

What does a Business Development Manager do? The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for prospecting, qualifying, and follow-up to grow new business.

It is a key customer-facing role and will frontline the sales process, primarily working with contacts sourced from their own prospecting or from a marketing referral or digital lead generation efforts.

The BDM works closely with the CEO, Marketing Manager, and other company resources to successfully qualify leads, identify key decision makers, and help transition accounts to a demonstration or sales close.

This role includes some traveling within the territory.

Prospects, contacts, qualifies, and presents Optisolve system (Pathfinder and SAVI) and Geotab solution offerings to acquire new business via email, phone, and online meetings.

Works to meet established sales targets and updates progress in CRM tool including generating sales pipeline reports.

Develops target leads through industry networking events, LinkedIn, cold calling and follow up with the support of Optisolve's sales and marketing team and distribution partners.

Consistently and promptly follows up with information and presentation of Optisolve's and Geotab's value proposition to various markets is key.

Establishes, maintains and develops relationships with potential customers who have been identified as target clients in order to meet corporate objectives of maximum profitability and sales growth.

Manage an existing book of business with current clients and engage with prospects to develop new business.

Analyze customer needs and interests in order to efficiently identify product fit and sale close requirements.

Identify, develop, prepare and present high impact sales presentations to potential clients.

Be able to close sales by building rapport with potential accounts; demonstrating product and software functions; overcome objections; prepare contracts Coordinates and liaises sales efforts with other group sales resources (e.g.

Swish Maintenance, Charlotte Products ) as needed.

Perform from time to time customer and account management related tasks as may be needed.

Keep abreast of the products, applications, technical service, market conditions, competitive activities and industry trends through reading OEM manufacturer/principals' training, pertinent literature and internal training.

Present, represents and participate at industry events including tradeshows, webinars and workshops.

What do you need? Passion and desire to continuously excel, learn, and apply skillset.

Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or related discipline or equivalent experience preferred.

Minimum 3 years of business development/sales experience.

Experience selling a SaaS product preferred.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and time-management skills.

Ability to deliver presentations/training to existing and potential customers in small/medium sized groups.

Demonstrates consultative and collaborative selling skills.

Strong customer relation skills and the ability to interface at senior levels at a customer site.

Strong technology skills with the ability to understand and apply new digital equipment and programs.

Creative thinking to respond to individual prospect requirements and adapt the sales process for maximum success.

Decision making ability and exercise good judgment.

Comfortable working individually with little or no supervision, as well as working effectively in a team environment.

Computer literacy, including competency related to Google Suites and any Sales related programs.

Prior experience with CRM software is an asset, desirable but not essential.
