Within Digital R&D, the R&D Portfolio Management Product Line provides products to optimize Sanofi R&D pipeline, to support execution of R&D projects by allocating resources transparently, effectively and efficiently, and to enable decision making on cost, resources and planning.To date, the Portfolio Continuum program has delivered a global (Pharma, Vaccines and Medical) Project management solution on Planisware SaaS to ensure project planning, resources and cost allocation foundations for R&D operations.
A new datahub (Google Cloud) has been also deployed to feed current BI/Reporting/Portfolio simulation solutions.The R&D PortfolioProductowner is a key leadership role within the Product Line:
Delivering the next ambition of the Portfolio Continuum program to implement an event-driven culture and support faster decision-making process (based on Advanced analytics, AI) for R&D pipeline governance and project prioritization.Being the key Digital partner of internal Portfolio initiatives that aim to build an end-to-end solution powered by AI to support the Strategic Portfolio Decision Making process.R&D PortfolioProductOwner is accountable for overall product strategy, oversight and delivery in close relationship with different business stakeholder, R&D Portfolio application owners and experts.He/She is responsible for overall product lifecycle aligned with strategy defined.This role provides a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic team, fully empowered to propose and implement innovative ideas based on AI, ML concepts.
This role will also provide hands-on experience on collaborating with diverse vendors and major internal & external stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:
Be the internal voice of the customer for the product and work with customers (as well as ProductOwners) to constantly understand and communicate their needs and participate in the approval of the proposed solutions.Defines, creates and communicates product roadmap aligned with business objectives with a goal to deliver on time, on budget and in line with business requirements.Continuously develops and communicates the vision to the development teams and defines the features of the system.Runs the program with Agile methodology, including:
Documents and prioritizes product specifications including goals, uses cases, user stories and business requirementsManages backlog refinement and drive features prioritization effort.Is largely responsible for release definition, deciding when enough value has been accrued to warrant a release to the customer.Defines with business product lead and product line owner KPI and value proposition and act according to impacts (Continue, Adjust or stop).Participates to product increment objectives approval and business value achievement measurement.Works cross functionally across the digital organization especially the centralized Digital data and analytics team to define architecture and technical ecosystem.Ensures that Digital Products meet all controls to address applicable quality, regulatory and cybersecurity requirements.Contributes to the definition and to maintain the Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) to help ensure that the solution meets relevant regulations, standards and other system quality requirements.Key Requirements:
University degree or college diploma in a scientific or IT discipline.Strong experience in digital methodology and agility project management.Experience in R&D Portfolio Management business/processes (or at least R&D Finance / R&D Clinical).Strong conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills, ability to work well under time constraints and to handle multiple tasks with changing priorities.Must be value oriented:
ability to quantify and demonstrate the business value.
Cloud (Google and AWS), Data integration & BI (Informatica, Tableau, Power BI).Excellent oral and written communication.Presentation and organizational skills, interpersonal skills to ensure efficient relationship with all stakeholders.Proven ability to communicate and present effectively to senior leaders, cross-functional and cross-organizational teams.Proven ability to lead and influence teams without direct authority.Experience of running workshops to gather requirements, e.g.
